An RCE is a network of existing formal, non-formal and informal education organisations, mobilised to deliver education for sustainable development (ESD) to local and regional communities. A network of RCEs worldwide will constitute the Global Learning Space for Sustainable Development. RCEs aspire to achieve global goals, by translating global objectives into the context of the local communities in which they operate. There are currently 154 acknowledged RCEs worldwide.

RCE Skåne
RCE Skane is located in Sweden’s southernmost region, which is a land rich in opportunity but still facing numerous environmental and sustainability challenges. The RCE is focused on making Skane a leading example in Sweden of the power of education for sustainable development, where people of all ages are given the knowledge and tools they need to assume responsibility for creating a better tomorrow and a sustainable future.
